Dr. Holifield recently became an Associate of John Van Dreal Consulting, LLC. Dr. Holifield can work with your school district to provide training services specific to the Salem-Keizer/Cascade School Threat Assessment System.
Dr. Holifield has created an research-based training specific to mental health professionals at public and private agencies and therapists in the community. Therapists and clinicians will be introduced to research in behavioral threat assessment and management with a focus on identifying and managing behaviors of concern in a therapeutic setting.
Dr. Holifield has designed a 1-hour In-Person Training for school site teacher staff meetings. The content covers behaviors of concern that students may exhibit, the purpose of threat assessment, and their role in threat assessment/management.
This service provides an evaluation of existing behavioral threat assessment and management systems, followed by consultation and recommendations for revision and improvement if needed. The evaluation includes an examination of current functioning and case work, interviews of threat assessment team members and key stakeholders, a review of completed assessments and management plans, and an observation of team meetings. The consultation additionally includes an analysis of team functioning, comparisons with current leading practices, and recommendations for refining the preventive threat assessment and management system.
This service is similar to the above fidelity design and outcomes and specific to the Salem-Keizer Cascade Model.
